Palaces, Priests & Pomp await you in Stockholm! On our Royal Stockholm tour from Nynäshamn, we’ll give you an overview of the city as a whole, and throw in the most regal venues. Hailed by your private driver and guide you will be whisked away and escorted to the city centre of Stockholm. It’s only an hour drive from the port of Nynäshamn to the city, and an adventure awaits!
Behind the pompous walls of The Royal Palace lies tremendously decorated interior and the elaborate history of the Swedish Monarchs that’ll blow your mind (everything from a French Field Marshall crowned King of Sweden to a 34-course dinner where invitees didn’t get to dine). A proper (not actual) introduction to the Royal Family of Sweden is of course in order, we’ll tell you all about the current King Carl XVI Gustav, his wife, Queen Silvia and their three children. Around the corner lies the second oldest building in the city, the Stockholm Cathedral. Here, many royals have been made, and not only by weddings but coronations too! When the royal air gets a bit thick, it’s time to head out for a short walking tour of the Old Town. Capture medieval buildings, narrow alleyways and famous landmarks on your camera before it’s time to leave the island.
Just a short ride away lies the green lung of Stockholm, also known as the royal island of Djurgården. Among the oaks and greenery lies the Vasa Museum, where we find the world’s largest jigsaw puzzle, and it’s over 400 years old. Did we mention that it spent 333 years at the bottom of the sea? You’ll want to see this warship, no doubt about that!
Once your guide says adieu, your private driver will drop you back off at the port of Nynäshamn. Do you might feel overwhelmed? By beauty, by Stockholm, and how much it has to offer? Or that you saw it all?
