The story about the tour
Leave the city’s stress behind and head out to the Swedish countryside. Go from rural to royal and get the chance to see both Sigtuna, Sweden’s first town and Drottningholm Palace, home of the Swedish Royal family.
Travel back in time to a town founded in AD 980, also known as Sigtuna, now we are really experiencing Swedish Countryside! Wander the streets like the vikings, preach to the church ruins like the priest did in the old times and have a traditional Swedish fika in one of the charming wooden houses along the main street. This is Swedish countryside at it’s best.
We continue from rural to royal and leave the smallest town in Sweden behind, and head for a UNESCO World Heritage site, Drottningholm Palace. Not only is this 400-year old palace one of the 10 palaces that the Royal Family of Sweden have at their disposal, it’s located right by lake Mälaren and has a gigantic “backyard”.
Take the smell of cinnamon buns, the fresh water of Lake Mälaren and countryside air back to the city. Doesn’t the Swedish countryside sound wonderful?
