Kommen Sie mit uns auf die Suche nach eitlen Wikingern in Stockholm! Wir befinden uns in Runriket, wo Sie uralte Runensteine aus unmittelbarer Nähe betrachten können. Nirgendwo sonst in der Welt kommen Sie tausendjährigen Spuren so nahe wie hier. Nicht einmal die Schauspieler der TV-Serie “Vikings” bekommen diese Näheverhältnis vermittelt wie Sie.

Runriket befindet sich am Vallentunasee und hat Unmengen von Relikte aus der Wikingerzeit hervorgebracht. Gehen Sie entlang des Pfades und entdecken Sie die Broby-Brücke und noch mehr Wikingerschätze. Selbst Archeologen bekamen bei den Ausgrabungen dieser Wikingergräber ein schauriges Gefühl!

Dank dieser eintausendjährigen Runeninschriften wissen wir mehr über das Leben der Wikinger. Dürfen wir vorstellen: Wikingerchef Jarlabanke, der eitelste von allen. Er liess noch während er lebte fünf Runensteine und eine Brücke für sich selbst errichten. Ein bisschen zu selbstverliebt?!

Wir bedanken uns bei Jarlabanke und den anderen eitlen Wikingern dafür, dass sie uns so nahe an 1000 zurückliegende Jahre fühlen haben lassen.

    Happy Nobel Day! 💡 As Nobel Week was cancelled in 2020, Nobel lectures, prizes and banquets were replaced with Nobel Week Lights - light installations inspired by Nobel Prize-awarded findings and laureates. Bring thermal underwear, wool and grow a beard... if you can. ❄️☃️☃️ Of course, if you love the snow and want to ski, then you're in the perfect place, and you get to see the beauty of Oslo in a truly Nordic light!
