Über die Tour
Als eines der nördlichsten Länder der Welt verläuft der Polarkreis durch Nordnorwegen, wo der Himmel im Sommer von der Mitternachtssonne erhellt und im Winter von Nordlichtern erfüllt wird. Auch wenn Oslo nicht auf dem Polarkreis liegt, ist die norwegische Hauptstadt mit der Polargeschichte des Landes verbunden, denn von hier aus sind zwei Polarschiffe gestartet. Bei unserer privaten Stadtführung Oslo & Fram Museum erkunden wir die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten des Stadtzentrums und nehmen dann eine öffentliche Fähre zur Halbinsel Bygdøy, der Heimat des Fram Museums.
Wir beginnen unser Abenteuer mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf Aker Brygge und den Oslofjord. Weiter geht es in die Innenstadt, wo wir die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten der norwegischen Hauptstadt erkunden, darunter den Königspalast, die Universität von Oslo und die Einkaufsstrasse Karl Johans Gate mit dem benachbarten norwegischen Parlament. Auf dem Weg zurück zum Wasser erzählen wir dir die Geschichte des alten Oslo und der Festung Akershus. Am nahe gelegenen Hafen gehen wir an Bord einer öffentlichen Fähre nach Bygdøy. Unser Ziel: Das Fram Museum.
Um die Polargeschichte und ihre Bedeutung zu verstehen, versetzen wir uns in längst vergangene Zeiten, als die Menschheit keine Satelliten hatte, kein Google Maps, keine Flugzeuge und nur schwammiges Wissen darüber, wie die Welt aussah. Lerne drei norwegische Polarforschen kennen: Fritjof Nansen, Otto Sverdrup und Roald Amundsen. Dieses Weltbild war ihre Realität, und dennoch beschlossen sie, sich auf den Weg zu den Polen der Erde zu machen. Die Tapferkeit dieser norwegischen Entdecker wurde unter extremsten Bedingungen getestet. Im Fram Museum werden ihre Geschichten und Expeditionen wieder lebendig.
Die Fähre bringt uns dahin zurück, wo unsere Expedition begann. Nach diesen 3 Stunden und der Erforschung von Oslo und Norwegens Polarstolz Fram Museum, bist du nun selbst ein Teil des Explorer-Clubs geworden.

Now, living conditions are of course much improved, but there is no such thing as a mild winter here. Bring thermal underwear, wool and grow a beard... if you can. ❄️☃️☃️

The canvas of white snow - unpredictable but usually arriving in November/December - can provide a canvas of light across the city that makes up for the few hours of sunlight the people of Oslo get to enjoy.
