Vom Stortorget, bzw. dem „Hauptplatz“ der Altstadt (Gamla stan auf Schwedisch) aus starten wir unsere Stadtführung und tauchen in die Geschichte Stockholms ein. Nachdem du die verborgenen Schätze der Altstadt erkundet hast, gehen wir an Bord einer öffentlichen Fähre, fahren an Inseln vorbei und über den Hafen zur Insel Djurgården. Dort erwartet dich ein weiterer Schatz. Wir meinen natürlich eines der meistbesuchten Museen des Landes, das Vasa-Museum.
Was das Vasa-Museum denn genau ist, fragst du? Hier befindet sich das älteste (und beeindruckendste unserer Meinung nach!) und am besten erhaltene Schiff der Welt – das großen Kriegsschiff „Vasa“. Denkst du jetzt an die Wikinger? Nicht ganz! Diese Schönheit wurde im 17. Jahrhundert erbaut, zu einer Zeit, als das schwedische Imperium DIE Macht war, mit der man in Nordeuropa rechnen musste! Fühle dich wie einer der angesehenen Gäste, die zu der Jungfernfahrt eingeladen wurden, nachdem wir die Warteschlange im Vasa-Museum einfach übersprungen haben. Die Vasa ist nicht nur ein künstlerisches Meisterwerk, sie hat auch eine fantastische Geschichte, die wir im Museum mit dir teilen werden. Bevor wir die Tour beenden und du das Museum weiter auf eigene Faust erkunden kannst, weisen wir dich gerne auf einige der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten des Vasa-Museums hin.
