Top sites in Copenhagen, you ask? Christiansborg, Amalienborg, Nyhavn, The Marble Church; there are so many. Lucky you, our Copenhagen Highlights Private Walking Tour includes plenty. Don’t forget; there are exciting stories too!
The story about the tour
So little time and so much to see! Do you need help picking the main highlights to visit during your stay in Copenhagen? Challenge accepted! Our Copenhagen Highlights Private Walking Tour is the tour for you. From palaces to quaint streets to grand halls, we’ll show you the highlights of Copenhagen that you shouldn’t miss; there are many more than the famous canal of Nyhavn and Amalienborg Palace, the King’s home.
Beginning at Copenhagen City Hall, we’ll take time to appreciate this work of art inside and out. Often overlooked in lieu of only seeing the exterior from the square, the real treat is on the interior. Our tour inside may be short in time but not in content – Denmark and Copenhagen have a long history displayed inside. Plus, we’ll visit a treasure of Copenhagen City Hall, which, if you ask us, is the most precise mechanical clock in the world, Jens Olsen’s World Clock.
Before long, we’re back outside, setting off through the streets toward another powerhouse in Copenhagen, this time Christiansborg Palace. Located on the island of Slotsholmen, both politicians of the Danish Parliament and the King do their work here, while visitors circle the island on a canal tour.
Upon exiting the pomp and circumstance of the palace, we’ll set off on foot for a stroll through hidden alleys, narrow lanes and across popular squares. While much of the old town of Copenhagen was destroyed and rebuilt, there are still hidden gems to find (if you know where to look!). After hours of fun, we finish our Copenhagen Highlights Private Walking Tour at the centrally located square of Kongens Nytorv. What’s next? That’s up to you! There are plenty of things to see and do in the neighbourhood!

Happy Nobel Day! 💡 As Nobel Week was cancelled in 2020, Nobel lectures, prizes and banquets were replaced with Nobel Week Lights - light installations inspired by Nobel Prize-awarded findings and laureates. As the festivities are now back, we sure hope that we are so lucky that the artwork brightening up the city during the darkest month of the year; is a December tradition that has come to stay. 💫
🇸🇪

It’s a contested issue amongst numerous Baltic connected countries as to who invented the Ice-skate. Was it the Finns or the Dutch? All of this is irrelevant because the best city to ice-skate in is Stockholm. If you want to show off your Quadruple Axel in front of the masses, the ice-rink in Kungsträdgården is the perfect location. ✨⛸️✨

Don`t let its controversy cloud your curiosity as Christianshavns characteristic slanting roofs and canals, as well as the tremendous Church of Our Saviour, are well worth seeing. Not to forget the Færgecafé or Café Parterre who are both worth visiting.
