On your marks, get set, and go! The main highlights of the Danish capital await. On our Copenhagen Highlights Accessible Private Driving Tour, we’ll look closer at the striking Copenhagen City Hall and the grandiose Christiansborg Palace. Complete with a scenic drive of the inner-city streets of Copenhagen, by the end of the experience; you’ll know precisely what the exuberant city of Copenhagen has to offer. Our means of transport is an accessible van, complete with a ramp making it possible to stay seated in a wheelchair or scooter as we travel through town. We’ll roll past famous buildings such as Rosenborg Castle, Charlottenborg Palace and the brightly coloured houses of Nyhavn.
When we can see Christiansborg Palace, we have reached the “Castle Island,” or in Danish, Slotsholmen, and it’s time for our first stop. Making our way through the Royal Reception Rooms, we’ll tell stories of official functions and ceremonies hosted by the Queen and dive deeper into why the Queen shares her office with the Danish Government today. That’s right; this is THE powerhouse of Denmark!
Our next stop is the Copenhagen City Hall when we are ready to move on. Unwind as we zoom over to the City Hall Square, where we find the graceful seat of the local council. From the architectural style of the National Romantics to well-known Danes, we’ll cover the main highlights of this most pleasant landmark on our brief tour inside. It’s hard to imagine, but Copenhagen City Hall is often overlooked as most guests only enjoy the view of the building’s exterior. We know better! If available, we’ll also say hello to the time-worthy treasure that is Jens Olsen’s World Clock before we leave.

The Palace may be partially or fully closed due to Her Majesty the Queen’s official functions. If the Palace is closed, OURWAY Tours reserves the right to swap the visit to Christiansborg Palace with Rosenborg Castle.
