There’s more to Copenhagen than just her “city centre.” There are many districts with unique characters throughout the city centre, such as Vesterbro, Nørrerbo, the Inner City and Christianshavn. Famous for being home to the Freetown of Christiania, Christianshavn looks similar to Amsterdam outside the windows, complete with charming crooked houses, plenty of colourful boats, and picturesque canals. Before you know it, we’re crossing the bridge back to the inner city, where Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen City Hall, and Christiansborg Palace will greet us. Did you bring your camera? In the inner city, we will pass by one must-see after another so that your camera will be full of photos after our tour is done.
But that’s not where it ends. Prepare for a splash as we head for the harbourside to visit our favourite mermaid, who loves flippin’ her fins! We will hop out to say hello and snap a photo with the Little Mermaid before continuing our city adventure. On our way back, we’ll pass the mighty Citadel and the Queen of Denmark’s winter residence, Amalienborg Palace.
By now, our time together has flown by, and what do you know, we’re back to the beginning. Now familiar with Copenhagen, you’re ready to continue exploring the city alone!
