Hop aboard your very own expedition ship (aka private vehicle) and set out on an adventure with your driver and private guide as you embark on an exploration of this Maritime Oslo Private Driving Tour.
Imagine you’re on the ice-cold seas, manoeuvring between floating ice, and in the distance, you see an ice-covered continent which you must cross by skiing. Oh, did we mention you’re not appropriately dressed? But luckily you are on a visit to the Fram Museum. Learn about how the Arctic and Antarctic were sites of great tragedies as their cold claimed hundreds of lives before explorers knew how to navigate the extremes of the polar regions.
Fast forward to the middle of the 1900s, and swap earth poles for Peru and Polynesia, the polar vessel Fram for a raft made of balsawood and the Antarctic and Antarctic Ocean for the Pacific Ocean. At the Kontiki Museum, we will share the story of Thor Heyerdahl, his extraordinary life and his travels worldwide, including the famous Kon-Tiki expedition.
No expedition of Maritime Oslo would be complete without a scenic drive through the city centre of Oslo. We’ll discover the Norwegian Parliament, the National Theater, the Oslo City Hall and the Oslo Opera House. After hours of exploration, we navigate our way back to your hotel, completing your expedition to the maritime side of Oslo.
