The story about the tour
Jump on board for a smooth ride up the fjord (by private transport) as we take on the Oslo Highlights. Get ready to surrender yourself to the stories of expeditions in extreme conditions, float your way through the small and modern city centre of Oslo, and sail between sights (okay, maybe not float or sail, but drive). Together we’ll listen out for high notes at the Opera and scout for royalty at the Royal Palace. We’ll ensure not to miss the Parliament, the main pedestrian shopping street, Karl Johans gate, Oslo City Hall and the mighty Akershus Fortress.
Having captured the beauty of the city centre on camera, we continue drifting over to Vigeland Park, the world’s largest sculpture park put together by one man and one man only. With 200 sculptures, this stop will add nicely to your Instagram feed! We’ll take a short walk in the park, enjoying the outdoors like the locals, before hopping aboard our vehicle in search of modern treasures. We make our way toward Bygdøy.
We finish our Oslo Highlights Private Driving Tour at the treasure trove of the Fram Museum. Learn about expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic and the vessels used to get the courageous explorers Fritjof Nansen, Otto Sverdrup and Roald Amundsen there. Step aboard the original expedition ship Fram and experience history as if you were actually there.
Before you know it, time is up, and we are back where we began. However, if you prefer to continue your expedition through the neighbouring museums on Bygdøy, we’ll happily end the tour at the Fram Museum.
