The story about the tour
Step out of the entrance of your hotel and into the warm Norwegian sun (at least we hope so!) and greet your personal driver and private guide. They’re here to take you on an adventure known as our Oslo & Vigeland Park Private Driving Tour to get to know the best of what Oslo has to offer.
Zooming around the city, we’ll see all the famous sights, giving your camera a nice workout. Akershus Fortress overlooking the fjord, Oslo City Hall standing proudly on the shoreline of Aker Brygge, Oslo Opera House rising out of the water, and the Oslo Cathedral where the Crown Prince and Princess got married… there’s so much to see! We’ll catch a glimpse of Parliament, located at one end of a beautiful city park. Make sure you look to the other side! You’ll see The Royal Palace, home of the King and Queen of Norway, on top of the hill overlooking the city and Karl Johans gate, the main pedestrian shopping street in Oslo city centre.
Having been introduced to all the city centre highlights, it’s time to wind our way up to the district of Frogner, a quiet and posh residential area in town. Why are we headed this way? For the grandest sight of them all. What happens when one man creates hundreds of sculptures and gives them to the city? You get Vigeland Park! We’ll share the story of Gustav Vigeland and the world’s largest sculpture park as we walk down the park paths to the pinnacle, The Monolith. Get your camera ready!
Before you know it, nearly three hours have flown by, and it’s time to cruise back to the city centre. Hopefully, we’ve sculpted a lovely image of the beautiful Norwegian capital for you, giving you a good starting point to dive deeper into all that is Oslo!
