In Denmark, even royalty bikes. That’s how big biking is! Like Crown Princess Mary, put your feet to the paddles on our Royal Copenhagen Private Bike Tour. One Copenhagen royal hot spot to the next, here we come!
The story about the tour
Looking for royal hot spots? Check out the bike lanes of Copenhagen! Crown Princess Mary is often seen paddling by on her cargo bike with one of her kids chilling in the front (perhaps more so when they were younger). So what better way to travel through town, talking about everything Royal in Copenhagen, than by bike?
From former home to office to summer residence turned museum, we’ll zoom between palaces and royal must-sees on our bikes just like the Crown Princess. We’ll answer questions like: What’s the story behind the beloved Royal Family with high approval ratings?… How did the Crown Prince and Princess meet?… and which king built half of the city? Get to know Danish royalty and the city of Copenhagen, cycling from one sight to another on our way to two of Copenhagen’s many palaces, Christiansborg Palace and Rosenborg Castle.
The Queen of Denmark and the Danish Parliament share a coffee machine and office space (well, they share the palace, at least) at the palace island palace, Christiansborg—Marvel at the luxurious interior and sensational history of this place. Not to be missed: the Queen’s Tapestries! Back on our bikes, we set off in the direction of Copenhagen’s Old Town. Though mostly destroyed in fires and war, many old buildings and streets still exist to enjoy. We’ll see the Copenhagen Cathedral, where the Crown Prince and Princess married in 2004, and Amalienborg Palace, where they live today.
If you’re not palaced out by now, we’ll hit the countryside (well, it was some time ago at least) and arrive at Rosenborg Castle, a previous summer residence and, today, home to the Treasury. From fabulous crown jewels to cargo bikes, as we end our Royal Copenhagen Private Bike Tour, we’ll have biked in the wheel tracks of the Danish Royals of past and present.
