For our Royal Stockholm Private Walking Tour, don your most delightful frock and let us escort you to the many royal sites of Stockholm. The Royal Palace, Stockholm Cathedral and Vasa Museum – a day of royal grandeur await!
The story about the tour
Hear ye, hear ye! Welcome to the 3 P’s of Stockholm: Palaces, priests and pomp! Spend the day strolling through the city like true royalty at the grand Royal Palace, with the priests of the Stockholm Cathedral and the pomp of the Vasa warship at the Vasa Museum. This royal tour of Stockholm includes the magnificent island city districts of the Old Town and Djurgården, as well as a scenic ferry ride through the eastern part of the city centre.
Step into the King’s official residence and former home – The Royal Palace of Stockholm. The State Apartments, where royals (we’ll introduce you to them too!) have welcomed DJs, Nobel Laureates and foreign dignitaries throughout the centuries. In the neighbouring Guest Apartments, visiting world leaders rest their heads during state visits to the city. After we make our royal exit, we continue over the cobblestoned courtyard to the Stockholm Cathedral, noted not only as the location where Sweden’s Parliament opens annually but also as a place of opportunity. This is where a gym owner became a prince, after all!
Continuing on our regal theme, we board our royal vessel (maybe not royal by name, but it takes us to a royal destination) to the lush island of Djurgården. Part of the Royal National City Park, many museums are located on the island, including the home of the grandest warship in the Swedish Royal Navy of the 1600s – the Vasa Museum. Two gun decks, 64 canons, and over 400 workers employed… the Vasa took two years to build but only sailed for 20 minutes. You can imagine the King’s delight…!
By the end of our Royal Stockholm Private Walking Tour, check off the three royal p’s above and pride yourself on having given tribute to all things royal in Stockholm. Can you hear the 21-gun salute in the distance?

Happy Nobel Day! 💡 As Nobel Week was cancelled in 2020, Nobel lectures, prizes and banquets were replaced with Nobel Week Lights - light installations inspired by Nobel Prize-awarded findings and laureates. As the festivities are now back, we sure hope that we are so lucky that the artwork brightening up the city during the darkest month of the year; is a December tradition that has come to stay. 💫
🇸🇪

It’s a contested issue amongst numerous Baltic connected countries as to who invented the Ice-skate. Was it the Finns or the Dutch? All of this is irrelevant because the best city to ice-skate in is Stockholm. If you want to show off your Quadruple Axel in front of the masses, the ice-rink in Kungsträdgården is the perfect location. ✨⛸️✨

Don`t let its controversy cloud your curiosity as Christianshavns characteristic slanting roofs and canals, as well as the tremendous Church of Our Saviour, are well worth seeing. Not to forget the Færgecafé or Café Parterre who are both worth visiting.
