Can you imagine a cultural theme park revolving around the theme of Sweden? When turning the corner leads you to a farm in the north of Sweden, past a rune stone and Market Square, and another turn of a corner leads you to a manor from central Sweden. A couple of paces further, you’ve arrived at a large amphitheatre with a fantastic view of the harbour. Is it crowded? It must be Tuesday! See the merry Swedes in their natural habitat – the habitat of loving to sing at Sing-a-long at this outdoor venue, that is! Now you have the perfect idea of Skansen!
Hear stories from the past to the present as we introduce you to Artur Hazelieus, founder extraordinaire of this beautifully unique park and museum. Not only that, but he also founded The Nordic Museum located around the corner, the queen bee of the impressive architecture we drove past to get onto and off the island. Wondering what that street with all the grand palace-like buildings was? That’s Strandvägen – Stockholm’s most exclusive address.
In addition to stretching our legs walking around Skansen, we’ll take you around town, showing you the highlights of the Swedish capital. Known for its 14 islands and 57 bridges, Stockholm is nothing short of picturesque, and we’ll make sure you see it all (and snap some photos, too!). The Diplomat Town, Royal Dramatic Theatre, the King’s Garden, Stockholm City Hall and Parliament – we’ll be able to see a lot in a short amount of time.

There is about a 2 km walking distance inside the museum. Part of this tour takes place in areas where you will have to walk on gravel or unpaved walkways. We suggest wearing comfortable shoes.
