Local hangouts, trendy neighbourhoods, hidden treasures – discover a different side of Oslo on our Oslo’s Urban Treasures Private Bike Tour. With architectural gems, medieval ruins, and waterside rides, the photo ops are plenty!
The story about the tour
“Let’s go back there later!” No doubt this is something you’ll be saying at least once during your Oslo’s Urban Treasures Private Bike Tour. We’ll ensure you’ve seen the main attractions and a few hidden ones, too, covering plenty of turfs, as Oslo is the perfect size to enjoy a leisurely ride through and around town.
Hopping on our bikes, we’ll ride past the Oslo Opera House, leading us out to East Oslo and the city’s foundations – the Old Town of Oslo. As the name indicates, the old town’s location mainly consists of ruins created by an enormous fire almost 400 years ago. We’ll ride from ruins to the riverside and from one district to the next, crossing through East Oslo’s Kampen and Tøyen areas before arriving in the city’s hipster, trendy district. Have you heard of Grünerløkka? If not, you’re about to! In short, here you’ll find a fabulous food hall and an abundance of restaurants and bars; there are plenty of things to enjoy!
Hoping to see a royal? We can’t guarantee anything, but we’ll at least introduce you to the Royal Palace and the lovely hilltop view of part of the city centre. Cruising down the hill to the Oslo Fjord, we’ll reach the harbour and have a fantastic view of Aker Brygge, Akershus Fortress and the Oslo City Hall. Before you know it, we’re back to where we began, and our time together has flown by. Of course, we’ll have made a stop along the way to stretch our legs and grab a snack before we’ve finished our tour, and we can say we’ve seen Oslo’s Urban Treasures.
