The story about the tour
The beautiful Swedish capital, Stockholm, is filled with islands surrounded by two bodies of water, one of them is the Baltic Sea, but it doesn’t end there. A short boat ride outside the city centre opens up a wealth of islands, cobs and skerries; there are over 30,000 islands that make up the Stockholm archipelago which makes it quite challenging to choose one to visit as there are so many fantastic ones to choose from. Alas, fear not! We have the perfect island selected for you if you want to get outside the city, enjoy nature like the Swedes and have a relaxing day. Where are you headed on your Stockholm archipelago adventure? The island of Grinda!
Beginning in Stockholm, your day trip kicks off with your private guide picking you up at your hotel and escorting you to the RIB boat that will take you to the island of Grinda. Enjoy the plethora of islands passing by and scout for possible wildlife during the thrilling journey, arriving at the island a little over an hour later. You’ll come right into the heart of the island, where you’ll find the guest harbour for private boats, restaurants, a hotel and a farm. Jump in a kayak and explore the area from the water or take a pleasant stroll through the island, past camping grounds and cabins, farm-animal-filled pastures and forest. When you’ve had enough, it’s time for lunch.
Before you know it, it’s time to catch the RIB boat back to the bustling city centre. Enjoy a scenic and exhilarating journey back to the mainland. Our escape includes the best of Swedish summer: a day out in the sun (we hope), kayaking (if you wish), lunch and a swim! Enjoy the sea, sun and adventure ahead.
