One of the best ways to explore Stockholm is from the water! On our Stockholm Archipelago Sailing Adventure, we soak up the sun, go for a swim and “take a walk on the wild side” in what is the Swedish, a more rugged equivalent to Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast – the Stockholm archipelago.
Staring out in Stockholm, your day begins with a private transfer to the quaint coastal town of Vaxholm, where your English-speaking skipper awaits your arrival. Checking out from the hustle and bustle of the city, we’ll take the day to holiday like Swedes, sailing through and past many of the 30,000+ islands and skerries that the Stockholm archipelago holds.
As you depart from Vaxholm, enjoy the history of the area as your skipper guides you, not only through the beautiful archipelago setting but also through its history, from the Vikings to a 1700s defence fortress. When you thought the day couldn’t get any better, it’s time for lunch, which is served on board.
Before you know it, your Stockholm Archipelago Sailing Adventure has come to an end. You’ve arrived back in Vaxholm, where your private driver is waiting to take you back to the bustling city centre of Stockholm. Sit back, relax and take in the experience you’ve just had!

How to find the guide
Look for our driver holding the OURWAY logo as a sign.
If you have trouble locating the driver or the meeting point, please give us a call a few minutes before the start of the tour. When you call before the tour begins, we have a greater chance of helping you find your way.
Once you arrive in Vaxholm, your driver will drop you off at Söderhamnsplan 1, where you’ll find your sailboat and skipper for the day.

We recommend bringing warm and/or extra clothing, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and comfortable shoes with you on tour.
