Put on your seatbelt, and let’s hit the road! You are about to discover Stockholm’s incredible architecture with your own personal driver and guide. Whizzing through the city, see the colourful classical masterpieces infused with futuristic high-rises. Each city district offers something different; the mix of architectural styles makes Stockholm the charming city we see today.
Let’s make the most of your private driver and guide and start by exploring creations located on the outskirt of the city centre. How about Aula Medica, the University Hospital Karolinska’s own auditorium? Built for Nobel lectures, large scientific receptions and conferences. Or Victoria Tower, the tallest hotel in Scandinavia. The 117 metres tall building, cast in steel, is named after Crown Princess Victoria, heir to the Swedish throne. In Hammarby Sjöstad, we find the Stockholm View, the first of many buildings part of the new project – Sthlm New Creative Business Spaces.
While most of the buildings surrounding the city are modern, the creme of the crop of classical buildings is found in the city centre. Stockholm Concert Hall is Stockholm’s leading example of neoclassicism and home to the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. The King’s Towers, built in the 1920s, are considered the first modern skyscrapers in Europe. Stockholm offers an exciting mix of the old and the new – what we’ll show you depends on you!
