Hoping to see narrow alleys and charming squares? Or to catch a glimpse of the Prince? We can help with both wishes! Join us for our Stockholm’s Old Town & Royal Palace Private Walking Tour as we share truths about the Swedish Royal Family.
The story about the tour
Are you a fan of European royalty? Do you want to know more about the Swedish Royal Family and see where they have lived through the ages? Great, we want to help! Our Stockholm’s Old Town & Royal Palace Private Walking Tour takes you through the highlights of the regal history of Sweden, from the past to the present. Not only that, it includes a walk of its backyard, the medieval Old Town.
Not having been affected by wars, much of the Old Town is still intact, and the area is packed with historical gems, some easy to find, others more difficult. Lucky you’re with us! From Birger Jarl, the founder of Stockholm, to Jean Baptist Bernadotte, an imported French marshal, we’ll cover well-known Swedish figures and sites, including the smallest statue in Stockholm, the statue of St. George & Dragon, the Riddarholmen Church and Stockholm Cathedral.
The next-door neighbour of the Stockholm Cathedral is the Royal Palace. Said to be one of the most living palaces in Europe, we’ll enter the elaborately decorated Royal Apartments to have a closer look at what is now the office of the King and Queen of Sweden. Where do they live, you ask? The answer is Drottningholm Palace, but that is another tour in itself. Gustav III’s Bedchamber, Karl X’s Gallery and the White Sea, we’ll make our way through centuries of royal living, including banquets, functions and responsibilities.
Our majestic venture ends in Stockholm’s Old Town, with the possibility to catch the beginning of the changing of the guards (if you scheduled a morning tour time, that is). Or to continue exploring the Old Town of Stockholm on your own.

Happy Nobel Day! 💡 As Nobel Week was cancelled in 2020, Nobel lectures, prizes and banquets were replaced with Nobel Week Lights - light installations inspired by Nobel Prize-awarded findings and laureates. As the festivities are now back, we sure hope that we are so lucky that the artwork brightening up the city during the darkest month of the year; is a December tradition that has come to stay. 💫
🇸🇪

It’s a contested issue amongst numerous Baltic connected countries as to who invented the Ice-skate. Was it the Finns or the Dutch? All of this is irrelevant because the best city to ice-skate in is Stockholm. If you want to show off your Quadruple Axel in front of the masses, the ice-rink in Kungsträdgården is the perfect location. ✨⛸️✨

Don`t let its controversy cloud your curiosity as Christianshavns characteristic slanting roofs and canals, as well as the tremendous Church of Our Saviour, are well worth seeing. Not to forget the Færgecafé or Café Parterre who are both worth visiting.
