Hidden Gems in Oslo: The Mini Bottle Gallery

December 14, 2017 • 1 min read

Don’t let the name fool you; The Mini Bottle Gallery has the largest collection in the world when it comes to miniature bottles.

This really is a one-of-a-kind museum; it’s the only one in the world focusing on miniature bottles. The astonishing number is 53000 bottles, spread over three stories on Kirkegata 10 in central Oslo. The museum was opened by bottle enthusiast Christian Ringnes, who was seven years old when he started collecting them after getting a miniature bottle from his father. In May 2003, his museum opened after 42 years of collecting. Amazing, huh? The gallery is open Saturdays and Sundays, 12.00 – 16.00. It costs NOK 85 to enter. On Fridays, from September – May, you’ll also find a Mini Bar here (16.00 – 21.00). If you want to learn more about The Mini Bottle Gallery, visit their website.
