The Museum of Contemporary Art (Museet for Samtidskunst) is located on Bankplassen 4 (and is the building in the picture above). Here you will find a contemporary art collection that consists of approx. 5000 Norwegian and foreign works from 1945 and forward. The museum opened in 1990 and is located in an old bank facility. The Viking Ship Museum (Vikingskipshuset) is one of the coolest museums in the world, according to us. Located on the island of Bygdøy, it has three of the most well-preserved Viking ships in the world. On the museum’s website, you’ll find opening hours and entrance prices.
