The story about the tour
Time to light it up… like it’s dynamite! Okay, maybe not, but we’ll introduce you to the man behind it, none other than Alfred Nobel, one of Sweden’s most famous exports (after ABBA). From his former home, Heleneborg, to the Nobel Prize Ceremony on December 10th at the Stockholm City Hall, zoom through the city, getting to know the Swedes, their country’s capital city and one of their most famous inventors.
Just like the key components of an invention, we’ll show you the key features of Stockholm. The Vasa Museum, Stockholm Concert Hall, The Royal Palace; there are so many essentials! Along the way, you’ll get well acquainted with the inner city districts, such as Norrmalm, Södermalm, Djurgården, the Old Town and Kungsholmen, the latter where we find one of the city’s gems.
In a home built of 8 million bricks, the Stockholm City Council has its offices in the Stockholm City Hall alongside the hundreds of events that take place here year-round. Inside, you’ll hear stories about some of these events and the architect behind this magnificent building. We’ll also include details about the politics and the governing of the Swedish capital. Once you’ve ooh’d, aww’d and had your mind blown by the beautiful interior of the Stockholm City Hall, we’ll step back outside to enjoy the beautiful view (and photo opportunity) the City Hall terrace has to offer.
Before you know it, it’s time to drop you back off where we started, all the wiser and perhaps with a few invention ideas of your own.

It’s a contested issue amongst numerous Baltic connected countries as to who invented the Ice-skate. Was it the Finns or the Dutch?
