The new year has just arrived and we are hoping that time will fly by as always – especially that spring will be here before we can say the word “spring”.
Don’t get us wrong, Copenhagen is great all time of the year, but there’s just something special about the first days of spring when people come out of their apartments, the trees are blooming and the boats come back in the canals. Here’s three things we look forward to this spring in Copenhagen.
Taking a stroll through the botanical gardens of Copenhagen. For the first gasp of spring, there’s no place like the Botanical Gardens. With over 13,000 species this little (huge) park is the perfect place to take an ice-cream on the go, smell the lovely flowers or have a fika in one of the two cafés.
Go on a canal boat tour. If there’s one thing we love at the office, it’s to see stuff from the water! Copenhagen is not an exception, the canals are many and the boat tours the same. We recommend Netto Boats. Don’t forget your sunglasses!
Chill out at The King’s Garden (Kongens Have). Located by Rosenborg Castle, Rosenborg Castle Gardens, also known as Kongens Have, is the oldest and most visited park in Copenhagen. We do understand why. During the summer, there’s concerts and art exhibitions in the gardens, but during spring it’s still quiet. It’s lovely to just sit on a blanket and watch people pass by. It’s located in the middle of Copenhagen, here’s a map.
