One of the coolest neighborhoods of Copenhagen is made up on 3.76 km² and holds plenty of must sees – say hi to Vesterbro!

The neighborhood known as Vesterbro is one of the 15 districts that together makes the municipality of Copenhagen. Vesterbro might only cover an area of 3.76 km², but it has a population of approx. 52 000 people and is one of the most popular areas to visit for dining out, shopping and drinking. Located next to the Central station, it holds a lot of fun attractions and cultural sites, something that suites all ages and interests.

In Vesterbro you will find attractions such as the amusement park Tivoli and it’s gardens, Kalvebod Brygge, and the Centre of Photography. Kalvebod Brygge is an urban space just by the water, opening up for lots of water activities. Here you can go for a swim or rent a kayak. Tivoli on the other hand is the second-oldest operating amusement park AND the second-most visited seasonal theme park in the world. Enough said! The Centre of Photography (Fotografisk Center) is a gallery focusing on contemporary art photography. Every year they produce six to eight exhibitions, with both Danish and international photographers.
If you’re out for shopping or food, you will find the great shopping streets Værnedamsve here and the very hipster Meatpacking District. In other words, here’s much to see on a small surface.
